Your Initial Appointment
Your care begins with a complete health history and discussion of your condition with Jeff. He will take the time to listen to your concerns and answer your questions. Next, he will conduct a thorough evaluation to determine the cause of your pain and establish what methods would most effectively treat your problem. He will then create a customized physical therapy program based on your individual needs.
After your initial evaluation, you will receive care from one of our dedicated physical therapist assistants (PTA) for the remainder of your visits at Faust Physical Therapy Center. At each visit, you will receive a minimum of 30 minutes of one-on-one direct care with the PTA.
Jeff will periodically check in for status updates and make modifications in your care plan if needed. In addition, he will keep your doctor informed of your treatment program and individual progress with written evaluation reports.

Treatments We Provide
Jeff and his team use hands-on treatment to increase mobility and improve function, along with specific exercise programs to provide pain relief and achieve your physical and functional goals. Furthermore, Faust Physical Therapy Center offers the most comprehensive and the longest one-on-one treatments in the area. Some of the many treatments we provide include:
Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) is a type of manual therapy that is unique to our facility. It is literally a hands-on method that allows us to provide exercise and manipulation without machines or fancy equipment. PNF results in FASTER positive outcomes and PROGRESS than at other facilities due to the therapist’s direct contact with the working muscle groups.
This therapy gently stimulates the nerves and blocks pain signals before they can be received by the brain. It can provide relief that lasts for weeks, and repeated applications can bring long-term freedom from pain.
Transcutaneous Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation (TENS): Using electrical current, we can temporarily deaden the nerve root to combat pain in virtually every region of the body – a specific benefit of (TENS). We can also modify the current to promote management of swelling and improve healing time.
Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS): This type of muscle stimulation is designed to re-educate weak muscles and improve contractile strength. This is very useful for patients following surgery or for those who have neurological issues.
Sound waves can provide deep muscle heat to promote wound healing and improve collagen re-arrangement (general healing of tissues, muscle, tendons, ligaments, etc.). We may also use ultrasound as an adjunct to manual therapy to reduce localized muscle spasm and tightness and/or to deliver certain medications into a localized area if your doctor prescribes it.
Cryotherapy and thermotherapy is the use of ice and heat (respectively) to manage pain and improve function. We also offer this as a courtesy following treatment or as a warm-up prior to our manual therapy.
Iontophoresis is the use of electricity to drive medication into a localized area. Specific conditions that may benefit from this treatment include, but are not limited to: tendonitis, bursitis, trigger points, local areas of inflammation, and fascial adhesions (scar tissue). Our system, called Hybresis®, allows us to quickly dose the medication in a painless and efficient manner.
Besides our manual therapy specific training, we offer cardio equipment, resistance machines (Cybex equipment), dumbbells, plyometric boxes, a variety of cuff weights, and balance training devices.
Jeff will create a customized home exercise program to help maximize your recovery and encourage you to take an active role in your rehabilitation. You can also check out our free rehab resources for additional exercise tips.
